Gomon GateGomon Gate.

Constructed around 1708, the Gomon Gate was originally part of Saihoji Temple, near Heian Jingu Shrine in Kyoto. During the time Hara Sankei owned Sankeien, the outer garden was open to the public, while the inner garden was private for the Hara family. The Gomon Gate was relocated here in the early 1900s to be the entrance to the inner garden.
